Our Team
Our Team is made up of passionate and dedicated individuals from a diverse range of backgrounds. From experienced educators to skilled caregivers, each member of our Team brings a unique perspective and set of skills to the table. We work tirelessly to empower our children, ensuring that they receive the highest quality care and education possible. The Core Group of our Management Committee oversees the day-to-day operations of our organization, while our caregivers provide essential Respite Care for families in need.
Management Team
Mukund Chitale
Managing Partner at Mukund M. Chitale & co., and a former President of Institute of Chartered Accountants of India (ICAI), and former Chairman of the National Advisory Committee on Accounting Standards (NACAS). Holds the position of Chairman at Sobti.
Prakash Bal
He has been working as a journalist with Maharashtra Times and Loksatta for over four decades. A founding member of Sobti, he now holds the post of Secretary.
Harsha Adarkar
A Human Resource Development professional with 28 years of experience, she also holds a master’s degree in counselling psychology and is associated with Sobti for over a decade. She holds the position of the President.
Sanjay Inamdar
He retired from Reserve Bank of India after four decades service. He currently holds the position of Joint Secretary.
Shyam Gokhale
He is the President of managing committee at Anandibai Krishnaji Gokhale High School at Dhaulvali, Ratnagiri, Maharashtra. He currently holds the post of Treasurer.
Usha Bal
A former professor of Marathi, she worked with B. N. Bandodkar College for 37 years. One of the founding members of Sobti, she now holds the position of the Director.
Swati Gokhale
On voluntary retiring from Mantralaya after 29 years of service she now carries out the responsibility of the Administrator.
Educators
Mayuri Karanjakar
She holds a Diploma as a special educator and has been working with students with special needs for over fourteen years. At Sobti, she works as a Coordinator and Special Teacher.
Shani Dev Soni
He holds D. Ed in Special Education (in Deaf / Blindness), Diploma in Information Technology and CCC. He has been working with the students with special needs for over 5 years and is associated with Sobti as a Special Teacher.
Anand Kumar
With D.Ed in Visual Impairment and Advance Diploma in Computer Application and CCC, he has been working with special students for over two years. Currently he works as a Special Teacher at Sobti.
Megha Bansode
She holds B.Ed in special education and has been working with special students for over seven years. She has been working with Sobti as an Assistant Teacher.
Kishori Gije
She has completed the Para-professional course in Special Education and has been working with special students for over fourteen years. Currently, at Sobti, she is working as an Assistant.
Vishal Lilka
He has been working with special students for over six months and is a part of our team as an Assistant.
